    Ingredients

    2 lbs. French green beans, ends trimmed
    1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
    3/4 Tbs. balsamic vinegar
    1 cup finely chopped basil leaves
    2/3 sprigs fresh parsley, finely chopped
    2/3 shallots, minced
    2/3 cloves garlic, minced

    Directions

    Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook beans for 5 to 6 minutes or until crisp-
    tender. Drain well and set aside.

    For the dressing, whisk oil, vinegar, basil, parsley, shallots, garlic, and lemon zest until smooth. Toss beans gently with dressing and transfer to a serving bowl.
